We’ve seen many people ask this question and compare it to Christmas advent calendars. The literal meaning of the word advent is ‘the arrival of a notable person or thing’.
With Ramadan being so important in itself in the Islamic calendar, we decided to call ours a Ramadan calendar. Whilst the concept is tied to Christmas, in our modern times we think it is important to offer something to Muslims who would like countdown the days to Eid during the holy month of Ramadan. Especially for parents as a way to get their children excited about Ramadan and Eid.
It is something I always wanted as a child and so I used Islamic art, design and geometry to inspire me to create an original design led star shaped Ramadan calendar for our children and the big kid in us all.
